Elkhorn River

BEFORE

AFTER
Elkhorn River was built in 1947 by the Pullman Standard Co. for the Illinois Central Railroad. It was later sold to the Rock Island Railroad and converted into a diner. The decor in the diner is very traditional and is kept as historically accurate as possible. Throughout the car, you will notice pictures and posters depicting rail travel of the years past. The capacity of this car is 42 seats, it has its own audio and video capabilities and possesses its own galley.
